From water carriers and drummers to early morning rituals and a colonial officer’s elaborate dressing routine, each artwork tells its own story of routine, rhythm, and quiet dignity.
At the heart of the set is “The Young Civilian’s Toilet”, a richly detailed scene that blends humor with history, showing a young British officer surrounded by attendants—a reminder of the layered realities of colonial India. Surrounding it are portraits of individuals going about their daily lives, set against landscapes dotted with palm trees, thatched roofs, and grand colonial buildings.
These prints are printed on a fine quality ivory paper.
