There is a depth to a dark green Chobi that lighter versions of the style never quite achieve. This piece works across a hunter green field — dense, saturated, the green of old ink or late-afternoon forest — from which a full all-over botanical vine emerges in crimson, amber, ivory and soft blue. The contrast between the darkness of the ground and the brightness of the vine is what makes the carpet: it is not subtle, but it is sophisticated.

Large format, with a warm rose-red border that frames the green with clarity. Hazara-woven in Kabul, wool on cotton, hand-knotted at 110 knots per square inch. A carpet that will change the room it enters.
