A hand-tufted wool carpet in black and ivory, the contrast left to do its own work. Tufting builds a denser pile than flatweave or knotting — yarn punched into a backing and finished from above — and it suits high-contrast geometric work, where the pattern needs depth to read against itself. Imperial Knots have made tufted carpets out of the UP weaving belt since 1977; the technique sits between fine craft and architectural finish. Black and ivory is a palette that sharpens a room rather than softening it — particularly against dark woods, plaster walls or restrained interiors.

- Light Vacuum clean regularly. Avoid using beater brush on rugs.
