The Chobrang style takes its visual language from the Caucasian carpet traditions that Turkmen weavers absorbed and then remade entirely their own. This piece lays that language out across a warm ivory ground — a full, all-over lattice of interlocking diamonds, each one holding a different medallion: amber, bottle green, navy, deep crimson. No two are identical.

The border is clean and controlled, a red ground with classic botanical scrollwork keeping the exuberance of the field in check. At 110 knots per square inch, the wool is tightly set and the colours crisp. This is a rug that rewards a room with some confidence of its own.
