Artichoke, Peas, and Other Plants. This captivating Dutch botanical illustration from the 17th century features a vibrant array of plants. In the center, a magnificent globe artichoke reigns supreme, its spiky green leaves carefully rendered in exquisite detail. Surrounding the artichoke, a variety of other plants are depicted with equal precision. Plump green peas occupy the lower left quadrant, their pods bursting open to reveal the sweet peas within. To the right of the artichoke, a delicate forget-me-not displays its tiny blue flowers. A sprig of red currants with glossy berries adds a touch of vibrant color to the upper left corner. Rounding out the composition on the right is a stalk with delicate white blooms.
These prints are printed on a fine quality ivory paper.
These are reproductions of old illustrations & in most cases will have the same imperfections as the original.
