MARBLE INLAY PICTURE FRAME

This picture frame is a beautiful representation of the old, elegant art of marble inlay work of Agra, also known as ‘Parchin Kari’. Marble Inlay in Agra has flourished since the 17th century when it was introduced to the region by Persian tradesmen. Crafted by artisans by hand-cutting semi precious stones, then precisely matching floral motifs outlined on the surface of the marble, and inlaying them into it.
