These beautiful nature illustrations are by Henry Bradbury from his book "The Ferns of Great Britain and Ireland with author Thomas Moore and editor John Lindley published in 1855." Bradbury introduced the technique of “nature printing”, which had been invented by the Austrian Alois Auer. The process involves pressing a specimen, such as a leaf, into a soft lead plate and removing; the plate is then inked and used to print an illustration of the specimen. These high quality images have been printed on classic ivory paper and look stunning as a collection on your walls.
These prints are printed on a fine quality ivory paper.
These are reproductions of old illustrations & in most cases will have the same imperfections as the original.
