Vikash is troubled to see mankinds social values “absorbed” by materialism and technology. His style stays consistent with these thoughts about the human condition and his paintings reflect mans expressions and conflict whilst also trying to balance him in the mundane struggle of just ‘being’. The inner conflict with mans division of priorities and consequential quest for optimism and how it manifests itself on one’s expressions are things which absorb him. He lets images rather than words convey his personal experiences and existential quests in an attempt for a deeper perception into the human soul. Vikash beckons the viewer to stop and rediscover the mirrors of our soul…our faces. What he tries is desperately to evocate emotional soulscapes in which a single expression may be anthropomorphized, seemingly reaching out with joy, hope, angst or regret. The need for human connection his pervasive subject.
